Holsworthy Bushfires

The bush fire that initially started off as a grass fire in Casula on the 13th April tore through thousands of hectares before passing through the CMAC field. Luckily there was little to no damage to the runway and pits area. Photos of the site surveys by the exec team shows how close the flames came to the shelter. The main damage to the club was destruction of the toilet which was located further away from the pits and surrounded by bush.

As of this posting date and time (17th April 2018) the site is still off limits due back burning activity by the Rural Fire Service and the accompanying water bombing overhead. Please stay away from the area, all members will be notified by email once its safe to head to the field.
